| ....although not decorated yet. I'll get there eventually.
The lighting/coloring is off, so these pictures don't show the true colors. I guess because it's at night, with no natural lighting.
But at night is when it's all CLEAN, so I took some shots.
I need to get some during the daytime when we return from vacation.
But here's completion, and we're so grateful!!!

| Just took these today, on Mother's Day. Of course hoping for an all finished kitchen by now, BUT, at the same time I'm fully content & grateful to be where we are, with what is done, and how well it looks and has come together thus far!
YAY for a great big stainless steel sink & faucet. And sink disposal. And water filter faucet.
Oh, excuse the dirty dishes in the sink. I finally got dishwasher detergent, and was running a load in the dishwasher!
I should mention that we ordered the faucets online, and got the wrong color bronzed water filter faucet. (the one on the left).
BUT I have a wonderfully creative fix-anything type husband. He spray painted it. And if I hadn't mentioned it, you'd never know!
Yay for a dishwasher we found online for sale. We weren't planning on purchasing one, but ours had bit the dust,
and Seth had attempted a few times to fix it, but somewhere the wiring was all messed up.
Our friend, Jim, did an excellent job on the granite.

As soon as the rest of the cabinets are finished we'll get the backsplash up. That's why the outlets are still exposed.

So, we thought we'd be done by February, then March, then maybe Easter in April. Then the target date was Ashlyn's birthday (May 1st) or Mother's Day (today) but really it's ok. What is done, is done well, and we are so grateful to have a home, be in it, and have each other. Who cares if shelves aren't in all the cabinets and our chips & cereal etc.... are kept in a blue plastic container by the table. Hey, it's easier for the kids to get their own food! Oh well for not having a bar/countertop to do our school at. God provided a table!!! And it's less countertop to wipe & keep clean. Really, things become simpler to a certain degree, even when unfinished. You just learn to live with what you have, and keep on keeping on. I wish we could have relied and trusted our cabinet guy to do his job as he said he would (or rather the more than a dozen times he's said he'll be done by!) but we are still grateful for what is done that it's done SO well. The quality isn't lacking. Just the severe lack of honesty and estimation of timing on his part. Again, lessons we can all learn from.
Also, I don't think we'll remodel again. It's the 3rd time we've done something major like this in our married life and the time & stress of it might just not be worth it. But who knows.....I guess I should never say never. Either way, we're glad to be closer to being done than getting started.

| And sadly, until this past weekend, not a lot different to show! We've been in WAITING mode on our cabinet guy. Learning patience BIG time! Things still aren't finished, but we moved back in this past weekend anyway. And here are a few pictures I took last night. The lighting isn't the best yet, so you can't tell the exact color. It looks awesome for real! We are so happy with how it's turned out so far! Seth has done a lot of work too, and our friend Jeff did the big painting job!!!
The living room. The fireplace area is where the cardboard pieces are on the floor and it will be finished up soon.
Down the hallway to the kid's rooms, office & bathroom. New floor, doors, hardware, paint, & trim. It looks so different!
And now the kitchen! Back side of the cabinets are installed. Still no shelves in most of them, or countertop. We brought our outside tables inside in the dining room for now. Without sink & dishwasher, we're doing the paper product thing and using the laundry room sink when needed.
Like I said, these pictures don't do the color justice. Everything looks more yellow-y in these pictures. And darker than it really is!
Closer up. The stain is mission brown, and we love it.
Looking at it from the living room. Hopefully in the next few weeks there will be a big bar/island there also!
SO excited about a new fridge. It feels like it's twice as big as the one we had! Our dishwasher & stove are the same, although no dishwasher or sink in yet. That will come after the countertops, I guess.
The bathroom vanity cabinets are installed, but not quite finished, but I forgot to get a picture of them.
Hopefully by May, and baby's 1st birthday I'll make her a cake in our finished kitchen!!!!!
